Connecting to God, to each other, to the world
Fairview Baptist Church is in the process of relocating our church to a beautiful site that will serve many purposes for the church and the community at Hall's Gap. God provided us with nearly 15 acres of property that will be easily seen from Highway 27 at the top of Hall's Gap Hill (on the right side of the road when heading south). This site will help our community to be better served and the church will be much easier to locate. It will be accessible to passersby that travel Highway 27 regularly, yet also will be visible to those just passing through the area. The new church structure will have 29,000 square feet of space, including a sanctuary that will ultimately seat as many as 550 worshipers, a regulation size gymnasium that will also double as a fellowship hall/kitchen area. The entire structure will be on one level with no steps at any of the entrances.School rooms will surround the structure outside of the gymnasium, with children's classes having close access to restrooms and the nursery. Our property will also be a future site for Upward Bound sports such as basketball and soccer, giving families in our community another option for their children and an option that includes character building and spiritual growth.
We have approached this building process in a manner much different than for most church building projects. We do not believe that God wants the church to dive into large amounts of debt that can place a burden on its members. But rather, to build in phases with each phase being paid for before starting the next. We have currently completed the first two phases that includes the hiring of an architect, completed plans for the building, the grade work of the property, and the finished pad with gravel base.
Our current phase will include the foundation and the entire steel structure dried in. This may possibly be our greatest challenge in the process of phases, but we trust that God will provide the needed finances and resources for this phase and the eventual completion of this tremendous project. This is a test for patience and endurance for God's people, but we serve a mighty God and the One Who owns "the cattle on a thousand hills."
We have currently raised $155k towards the current phase that will cost approximately $550k to complete. Would you join us in God's building program for Fairview Baptist Church?
