Connecting to God, to each other, to the world

Thank you for your contributions to our tornado relief offering. So far we have raised over $1600. We will continue to accept donations for the time being. You can mail a check to the church, or drop a donation in the lockbox next to the door under the canopy. Please write "tornado relief" in the memo line of your check. We are also accepting gift cards to help those affected by this tragedy. Gift cards to places like Walmart, Target, Kroger, Lowes, and Home Depot would be very helpful. Thank you again for your help in this endeavor. Please continue to pray for all those who were affected by these storms and for all the workers helping in the relief efforts.
If you signed up to be a nursery worker or door greeter, there are copies of the 2022 schedule in the Sunday School office for you to take home with you. The schedule is also posted on the bulletin board, and will be on the back page of the weekly bulletin.
Our Sunday night Bible study will resume at 6 pm on January 9th, 2022.  We will begin a a study of the Old Testament feasts and festivals. If you want to know more about things like Sukkoth, Yom Kippur, and Passover, this study is for you! Also, if you have a topic you'd like to be covered in a future study, let Bro. David know!
You will notice that the youth “blessings box” is still in the foyer. Please continue to put an extra dollar or two in the box from time to time. Any money collected through the end of this year will be added to what is collected next year and will be used for an outreach project (like the 2022 Thanksgiving meal). Thank you for your continued help with this great project.
A very special thank you goes out to our Operation Christmas Child (OCC) Committee, and to all of you as members of Fairview. Because of the continuing pandemic we postponed our annual box packing party. As they did last year, OCC committee members gave of their time to come to church and pack boxes on their own. The toys and gifts they used to pack the boxes were donated by Fairview members. This was truly a team effort! We ended up with a total of 450 boxes! That is awesome! And as good as that is, it gets even better. Since 2006 we have packed 5700 boxes here at Fairview! Samaritan's Purse estimates that each shoebox makes an impact on seven people (parents, grandparents, etc in addition to the child who receives the gift). That means our shoeboxes have made an impact on nearly 40,000 people! We are reaching people for the Lord and advancing His Kingdom! Thank you again for all you've done to help this great ministry!
Darlene Smith has started teaching the ladies Sunday School class (Circle of Love) again. Instead of meeting downstairs, the class will now meet in the Helping Hands classroom (the room at the end of the hallway past the church offices). All ladies are welcome to attend, including those who were part of the Circle of Love class or the Helping Hands class.
